“Be Present”

Many of us spend entirely too much time thinking of the past. This can lead to depression. We also think of the future, which is said to be the source of anxiety. We should really be living in this very minute. “Be Here” and live your life right for today. Let tomorrow and yesterday be as they are: The past and the future. Focus on you today. Not the person you were 5 years ago or the person you’re planning to be in 2027. Stay Present.

As a Mental health professional and human being, I understand what I mentioned is easier said than done. Please understand: You are not alone! I have those same struggles and many others as well but simple practice makes perfect.

The staying present buttons below will provide you with everything you need each week. My goal is to give you information about this week’s topic. I will also provide an exercise related to it. This will help increase your awareness and assist with staying within the moment. This means, no more drifting aimlessly and allowing life to drag you from one extreme to another. It is time to regain control and focus through mindfulness.
